Without a doubt, the highlight was the Saturday night show. What a fantastic display of why we love to do what we do. The best part was seeing the Ontario contribution to the Cross Canada Youth Chorus. Their performance had the hair on the back of my neck standing on end, the tears running down my face and made me want to stand up and shout, "It's great to be a Barbershopper!"
I have no doubt that these fine young men will do Canada proud as they compete in the Mid-Winter Convention two weeks from now in Tampa. Keep these boys in your thoughts and prayers as they make this exciting journey,
The entire week-end reminded me why I love this great hobby of ours. I love the music we make together and how it makes the audience feel. I love the fellowship we share. I feel great about what we do to support the community through H4S. Ask someone who was there last week-end about The Happening and what we do to support great music across the province and country.
I said it once but it is worth saying again, "It's great to be a Barbershopper!"
